I'm not a guy, but I have spent a lot of time around them on a rescue squad so I have some expertise in this matter. Know that guys can use the descriptions pretty casually, so if a guy calls you "pretty" he can still think you are "hot".
A "cute" girl is the category that most young women fall under. Cute usually means adorable in some way, physically or otherwise. Usually this girl has young-looking features like big eyes or a plump face, or a great personality that makes her a desirable package. Body really isn't taken into account in this description, because I have heard guys call many girls who have average bodies "cute". When a guy says that a girl's body is cute however, he usually says it in regards to a girl with a thin, flatter-chested petite body.

"Pretty" has more to do with the face and is a socially accepted thing to tell a stranger ...as in, "Pretty girl's going to catch a cold if she walks around without a coat." Pretty and beautiful are nearly the same but pretty seems to be a notch below beautiful because beautiful is more encompassing which I will get to in detail now.
Guys don't use the word "beautiful" often in conversation with each other. With some guys, the word seems to have emotional value
and it goes beyond looks. To mean that you are a enchanting, bewitching creature to a man. Other guys use beautiful to mean that you are very pleasant all around to look at. Beautiful girls usually dress well but are not flashy or trashy. They are genuinely attractive in a very natural way and would be appealing with no makeup on in sweats and a baseball cap. Beautiful is not weight specific.

"Gorgeous" usually means that a girl has striking, heart-stopping unique features. A gorgeous girl is nowhere near plain, examples being Aishwarya Rai and Adriana Lima. This is primarily about facial beauty.
"Hot" is an often used way to describe a girl between guys. The most common reason that girls are in this category is because they have big boobs and a smaller waist. Facial beauty is not always taken into account, and many plain girls can be considered "hot" for this reason. Girls do not have to be thin with big boobs (many guys said that Anna Nicole Smith was hot in her fat-days), but the boobs need to be much bigger than the waist, and a girl needs to wear cleavage enhancing outfits. Remember that the woman is the fairer sex, and its just natural that we are the ones who attract men by making them think of sex and being somewhat "flashy". "Hot" doesn't always have to do with big boobs however, think of Megan Fox. Many men consider her to be "hot" even though she has small boobs. "Hot" has a lot to do with image, presentation and deception. Imagine if Megan Fox gained 50 pounds (which would make her larger than average), didn't wear any of her flawless makeup, didn't whiten her teeth, died her hair to a more naturally-occurring color like mousy brown, had split ends and knotty hair, wore ratty sweatpants and extra-large t-shirts and sneakers, didn't get her eyebrows plucked, and rarely shaved. While she might still be considered "beautiful", she wouldn't be considered "hot". Beautiful girls can still be beautiful in sweatpants with an extra 20 pounds, but most hot girls can not remain hot in sweatpants, 20 pounds heavier. Hot is all about attention-getting image and luring a man in by reminding him that you are a sexual creature. Of course, if you excite a man in any sort of sexual way, even if you wear sweatpants all the time, he is going to think you are hot!

I hope I helped and like I said before, none of this is set in stone and a lot of guys use these words interchangeably!
