Question:
Threading or waxing the upper lip?
2009-04-06 18:44:23 UTC
I've been waxing my upper lip myself for about two months. I don't do it too often, but I do tend to break out almost every time. It only happens when I wax my upper lip. I did get my eyebrows threaded today and I was wondering if I should start threading my upper lip as well. I'm fine with pain. I just want to know which method is better. It seems that threading gets more hair out, too. Also, it doesn't pull out the skin as waxing can do. So I'm thinking this is safer.

But...

Is the hair growth the same? Both of the methods pull out the hair from the follicle. But I'm not sure...

Thank you in advance<3

i think you should go with threading. it last way longer and for me its better than waxing.

Neither! Threading is painful enough on the eyebrows, I wouldn't want them near my upper lip. And waxing too... I use Nair 'Especially for Face'..works like a charm

I have been getting my upper lip threaded for a couple of years. I prefer that over waxing.

Threading is better, it's more gentle. If I use wax, I sometimes get scars that take a few days to heal. Threading is always OK, and you can do it at night before bed any time you like:

i could flow with the maximum up-to-date ny vogue and that's delivered from PARIS. the fad is putting mascara on you top lip. i'm 14 and have been given a splash mustache. i could be bleaching(PEYEWW), waxing( AWWWCH) and shaving,(SCRAACHY). thank you GoD that clever women people fashions in Paris started highlighting their top lips. All my dark haired woman acquaintances are into it now and the adult men thinks it so warm.
