When eyes change color creepy or cool?

I have hazel eyes, they go from brown to green to a yellow brown kinda like rhianna or kristin kreuk. and extra points if you know why people's eyes sometimes change!

I think it's totally cool. But someone might be creeped out.

It's the light I think and probably changing melanin concentrations in the iris. I heard some people's eye colour changes when they are angry or highly excited. SO probably controlled by hormones.

I can tell you I have been interested in this myself but haven't found any concrete study.

Eyes don't change color. Your eyes are the color you had when you were little. What changes is the pupil size. The more it's constricted the more of your color shows. The more dilated it is the less color shows. My eyes have a mixture of blues and some green. When my pupils are constricted you can see the green. However when my pupils are dilated you see less of my iris's color so you see the outer part of my iris color which is blue. If you have ever had your eyes medically dilated, like I have, you only see black. No color of your iris shows. So no your color is not creepy.

A person has a set amount of melanin. You can't gain or lose it. Blue eyes, like mine, lack melanin. Brown eyes contain more melanin so they can't suddenly change to blue because that would mean that your iris lost melanin which is medically impossible. Now a part of the iris can lack melanin at birth which is why some people have half brown eyes with some blue.

People tell me my eyes change color sometimes like i'll be talking then they'd be like woah your eyes just turned green. There normally light blue in the middle and darker blue on around the edge but I'v been told the change to green or grey. Once they see my eyes change they like to stare at me for hours to see if it happens again so I dont guess there that creeped out. I get tons of compliments.

cool!!! my eyes do the same thing. i think it has something to with the lighting. my eyes change from very light golden honey brown to chocolate brown, to reddish brown. but i think its neat my eyes do this. kind of like a mood ring!

They don't really change, it's just due to the light and/or what color clothes you're wearing.
